LECM is hosting two upcoming events. You are invited to attend both.
Saturday, April 21st we the LECM Advisory Committee is hosting a Chaplain’s Reception for our new Chaplain, Rev. Renee McKenzie-Hayward. The event will be held at the Church of the Advocate located at 1801 W. Diamond Street from 4-7 pm. Come, meet the chaplain, and explore the historic landmarked Advocate and her African American and European art and architecture. Featured guest artists include: Fine Aartist- Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian; Organist -Mr Edward Collins-Hughes and The Johnny Cruz Latin Jazz Ensemble presented by Raices Culturales Latinoamericanas. Suggested Donation-$35.00. Event funded by a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Philadelphia Chapter, Care in Communities Program.
Tuesday, April 24th LECM is sponsoring a lecture by noted Christian activists and author Shane Claiborne. Shane will be speaking in Room 217AB of the Howard Gittis Student Center at 13th & Montgomery at Temple. Lecture begins at 3 pm. Everyone is invited. This event is funded by a grant from the Province III Higher Education Office of The Episcopal Church.
